I found this on a regulator I recently purchased. It is an LP hose. Will flex seal be a good backup for the zip tie or nah?

Flexseal might be difficult to cut away in the event of a snag. I'd avoid it.

:) I'm gonna be honest, this thought never crossed my mind. This is why second opinions should be sought out!

Definitely Flex Seal covered by heat shrink tubing. ;-O
I know that's not one I sent you-I use Cobra Head zip ties.

I'm sure I knew they existed but maybe I didn't know that they were a readily accessible thing. Those are cool! (For those that may partake of couv's regs or services, this did not come from him! :) )

You need a layer of Gorilla tape under that zip tie first.
Well, crap. Now we gotta move this to the DIY community. How in hades do you get a tiny zip tie like that relatched/recycled? Can I fuse the end of another ziptie onto the end of that ziptie, pull it tight and snip it off again?

You're not serious about repairing your life supporting dive gear like this, are you???

this kind of fix only works on brake hoses

use a worm gear hose clamp, stainless steel.
