Pretty cold and strong North winds predicted for Galveston on Tuesday. Thursday for Coz?

Hey Don, let us know when it hits Lubbock?

Dave Dillehay

Windguru and Windfinder are showing a slight swing to the NE on Thursday, but the speeds aren't too strong and the southern dive sites would still be in the lee of the island.

I'm not saying Dave's wrong, just that the forecasts aren't supporting the premise.

I agree with @WetInPortland - looking pretty good for the next week at least

Well, your local forecast for tomorrow still suggsts long pants and rain covers, but nothing brutal. We had 70s in the High Central Plains yesterday, too windy to enjoy it, cooler today - but it's not a biggie. Just a cool spell rolling across the Lone Star state.

Yes, as of now Windguru.com shows the wind shifting to the east when it gets to Cozumel. I was not trying to scare people but just recognize the weather in South Texas normally gets down to Cozumel. It will get there but with a shift to the East which means (likely) no port closure.

Should I stop posting things like this as soon as I find them?

You should post whatever you like, whenever you like.

I arrive on the 14th...it never ever rains on my parade! Come one, come all...after the 22th, all bets are off :)

Sometimes, more so in winter, and you certainly have extensive experience with both locations and weather. This one turned into an also-ran, weak finish.

Nah, we enjoy your sharings. This one just turned out to be a false alarm.

Agree with @DandyDon -post away.

Rain and cold in H Town today. Temps currently (8 am) at 52 deg F and predicted to drop. Will keep an eye on @Dave Dillehay forecast.
