You are one of the best in documenting your UW adventures...so why not capitalize on your talents as a UW documentarian (dang ! that is a word!) -- Let the word locally out the you have a number of UW programs. All civic and service organizations are always searching desperate;y for a 30 minute program. Yours would be perfect for the CC, Kiwanis, Rotary etc.

So publicize your programs - get the word out and get on the "rubber chicken speaking circuit"

Thanks, Sam, I especially like the "Rubber Chicken Speaking Circuit", I love it. I am building a bit of a reputation locally and have a bit of a following. Yesterday we had a big clean up in the harbor and I intend to create a video that I will share. That will help but I'm not sure if I should post the TV interviews as well as the local paper articles, suffice it to say that this circuit is finding me, and though I prefer the diving part, talking diving and advocating for the sport is a close second in my heart.

Thanks for the inspiration, Sam! It means a lot.

As to the car? I couldn't retrieve it this go round. The 14 volunteers we had only fount the radiator and I was landlocked by reporters and such. Shaking babies and kissing hands isn't really my thing, err, um, yeah. Anyway, someone had to do it.

By all means show the TV interviews -- Hopefully they can inspire others to follow in your fin prints.

Re: "rubber chicken circuit"
It is well established that SoCal was the birth place of recreational diving and of course we had dive clubs spread all over the southland as SoCal is often call on TV. Each club had a program chairman who searched for and obtained programs.
The programs could be of a club activity, a spear fishing meet, a visitor, or as I often spoke on jaunts into the wilds of Baja - Then in the very early 1960s (62?) Kodak created the 80 slide "Carousel projector."
It was a new game ! The presenter could automatically with the click of a button display 80 slides. I began with a program called Kreap'en Kreepers- 80m slides how to preserve and display marine life. The attitude of the diving world at that time was rape and pillage of the marine environment so my program became very popular with all the clubs and I was in high demand.

I would often be scheduled for a program, which required me to close the office, jump in my vehicle drive through LA rush hour traffic, some time just in time to make my presentation. Some time I had time to gulp down a meal, if the club was based on having a dinner, or they gave me an honorarium of a few dollars, and ever some gave me a free boat trip or a club patch ( I have a drawer full) Soon I was in demand by the local service clubs for a program - the Kiwanis, Rotary etc.

We on the lecture circuit all knew each and became close friends, often attending each others presentations and often providing suggestions for improvement. Now almost 60 years later all except me are in that big reef in the sky probably smiling down and critiquing my pitch to you

And is it a pitch ...Don you have several programs and you have a message -- get on the winter rubber chicken circuit for all the civic, service and dive clubs in you area. The pay is horrible but the rewards are great and long lasting !

Thank you, Sam. For the inspiration and gentle nudging necessary to get me out of the water and in front of the groups who may be able to help me do this.
The message was well received by those who I approached and I suspect more would be willing to help. I have this behind me and lots of video and willing volunteers, so now the boring part. Rhe tlak circuit.
I created this poster which promoted the event and also thanked those who volunteered food, sweets and drinks. We even had a wrecker service there for some of the heavier things.
I'm at work so must keep this short but I'll do my best to do a highlight video for you before my much needed two week vacation that begins Friday.
