Where do you stay when diving at talise, which I'm assuming is Central sulawesi, perhaps Togean Islands?

Talise is north of Bangka you can dive there starting from your resort in Bangka.

Thanks Luko. When I googled, up came Talise Beach and from there I'd extrapolated.

Thanks Boletus1973. I've been to Bangka three times but remained unaware.

I did some nice dives at the northern tip of Lembeh in March, this year. Wouldn't mind doing those 3 again. Do you guys know of any Lembeh Resorts that would head over that way on a more regular basis?

I heard Alor is not that great and certainly not for big schools and big stuff ? can anyone tell me different ? if it's comparable to Komodo i would be very interested.
How many diving options are there in Alor ? I looked at a few last year and I thought they where expensive, especially so compared to RA.

Regarding the Philippines, I can say that the best diving I have done there has been in Sogod Bay, nanpatau to be more specific.
PI has lots of lovely diving and is great for specific things like Whalesharks and Thresher Sharks but is no comparison to Indonesia, it is fished out totally in my eyes !

i've been to komodo 5 times and alor only one.... but i want return both places(love C&C.. Currents&Corals).... in ten days in alor i have seen underwater.. one manta... one tresher shark, some eagle ray... some wobby... but not big schools of fish..... from the boat i have seen hundreds of Dolphins every day... some sword/sail fish... one huge whale :-D ... some mola mola.... the fish is here! But i think is afraid of us... this is the main difference from komodo where the fish are more friendly...... i give to komodo 5 star rating... to alor 4 star.... but it's only my opinion...
Alor is a lot better than bangka.... a lot!

eheh... every day like this when we was there..... what a place!!...... another plus of alor was that there are not many divers.... mostly you dive alone with your group...
