How did you move from a small to medium XT? With which particular boot? According to Leisurepro’s size chart, the XT mediums fit from sizes 8-10 women’s? Thanks.

I'm right on the limit of the small XTs, in thinner boots and a longer strap they fitted "ok". I initially got the mediums to use with my drysuit. I then moved to a thicker soled and 6.5mm 4th element boot and discovered the smalls were now way too tight, tried them with the mediums and lucky for me they fitted perfectly.

Thanks, that’s great info !

Are you also a women’s US 7 in land shoes?

I'm a 6.5 US, I'm a male but have tiny small feet, no idea about men's or women's, I'm a 24.5cm. Most boots I try are either too big or too small, the 4th Element boots are just right, the removable insole helps I think.

Thank you @buddhasummer! 6.5 US men’s should be equavalent to 8.5 US women’s, which is 1.5 sizes too big for me. Based on that, I should probably try the XT small.

I'd concur. Even with thicker bots I'd think the Mediums would too big. If you're 1.5 sizes smaller than me you'd fit the smalls well as they were only fractionally too small for me. Good luck.

Thanks Simon. That is exactly the info I needed and that means I will stick with the Quattros.

Dogbowl. My Xt’s were medium for dry diving. I could dive them wet with my thick soled Mares but they were a bit loose. I think they were have fit perfect with the even thicker Seasoft size sevens. But can’t say for certain.

As it currently stands, I think my best bet would be to try the Mares Trilastic boots with the small Quattros, then if I don’t like them for whatever reason, I can try the small XTs. I believe the XTs are heavier than the Quattros in the same size, and since I travel with them, weight will be a consideration.

The Mares are my favorite boots and years old with probably more than 400 dives on them. The Seasolfts are heavier and very will made through. The only negative I have for the Mares is no tab over the zipper to keep the boots from unzipping while diving. If Mares would add this simple feature I think they would be a near perfect boot.

If the boots are just a tad large wear some athletic (synthetic) or wool socks with them.
