Have you looked into those boots for warm water: Seasoft Sunray 3 mm Low Cut Boots with Zipper

They have a big outline and allow me to use the same size mares plana with 6.5mm and 3mm boots and have a quite supportive sole.

I had a pair of these that fit and felt great but after 50 dives or so the boot portion came unglued from the sole. Switched to 4th element boots and love them.
