Anyone got any hints for how to download logs from the Perdix to Subsurface?

I can't get Subsurface to recognise the Perdix at all atm.

I have the latest firmware on the Perdix and also the latest version of Subsurface. I am running Win 10.

I am willing to look at another dive log programme if need be but I would prefer to be able to simply download the logs straight to the programme

Are you using the Shearwater provided Bluetooth adapter and it is not connecting? Have you contacted Shearwater about this? Their product support is second to none. It "should" just work (should is a dangerous word and for you it is obviously not).

Yes I am and I can get it to connect no problem to Shearwater Desktop but their logging software appears to be pretty sparse by comparison to Subsurface. ATM it looks like my option is to DL the logs in SW desktop and export in another format to Subsurface but that is not entirely without issues as certain information appears to go missing (tank start/end pressures for example).

I am open to purchasing another dive logging application if need be so long as it works.

My understanding is that the Perdix AI uses only Bluetooth Low Energy, which is different from earlier Shearwater computers that use "normal" Bluetooth. Despite the similar name, apparently the communication is quite different.
New Perdix's use Bluetooth Low Energy only - Shearwater Research
I'm sure Subsurface will catch up, but it hasn't yet. Importing Shearwater Desktop logs into Subsurface is probably easier to fix. Can you send an email to subsurface@subsurface-divelog.org explaining what doesn't work?

I have both versions of the Perdix and I can connect both to my laptop with the sameBT afapter

I am a big Subsurface fan, but the new Shearwater Cloud looks very good too and it can connect directly to your iPad or mobile device and transmit your log info. I like the Cloud much better than the Shearwater Desktop app.

It's not a question of the adaptor, it's how the software talks to it which is different.
So the interface is known per @gfaith's post below.

Just pulled this off the Subsurface FaQs Page

How do I download dives from my Bluetooth LowEnergy, BTLE, Bluetooth Smart dive computer (e.g., Shearwater Perdix AI, Shearwater Perdix (latest models), Suunto EON Steel)?

At this point (April 2017, Subsurface 4.6.3) Subsurface doesn’t support connecting to dive computers over BTLE. We are looking into adding support for this, but so far are running into problems (which means we have no ETA for when this feature will be available).
