How will that chunk of lead feel when you have to unclip one or both tanks and swim with them extended in front of you?

Would be no different than a steel. Which is kinda the point.

Would the weight and extra bulk in the boot make it easier for the boot to pop off under water?

You must make sure that the weight doesn't come off mid dive.

Also lead for casters has gotten hard to find. You are sitting on a gold/lead mine with 9.8 tons.

I would not say so. When I took my boot off my tank I had to beat the hell out of it, one side and then the other. I do not think the thickness of the weight will be that thick either. When I get them cast I will take measurements and such. My boots are at least 4" deep and if the weight is even just over 1/2" you are not "compromising" the boot.

It may not be an "actual" 9.8tons, but as I have a friend that owns a few garages, I get pretty much all I want.

Literally all you can pry off and haul. Nice.

That 'skill" is only done with alum cylinders anyhow, sidemounting in steel cylinders it isn't done. Frankly I don't even get why it is a "skill". use a long hose, donate normally.

I wasn't thinking of passing off cylinders, but passing restrictions.

I did the extend one cylinder during cert dives with steel 104s so it is doable.

The bottle in front IS a stage skill. And ALs are used for stages.
