Victoria Vis conditions?

Dove at Dolphin Beach a couple of days ago. Soupy in the shallows, but much better once we went over the wall at about 60 feet. Visibility on the big wall was 30 - 40 feet - better as you went deeper.

Dove at Tyee yesterday. Best visibility I have seen since late winter / early spring. A good 50 feet at depth - great when the sun was out almost directly above us.

Dove at Dolphin Beach last night. Soupy in the shallows, and not much better at depth. Estimate vis was 15 - 20 at best.

Pretty good in the Strait of Juan de Fuca today. This morning, visibility was 30-40' at Swordfish Island and about the same in the afternoon at Christopher Point.

Visibility wasn't great, but not too bad at the end of the Ogden Point breakwater today. It was around 20'. It was nice and bright, even 80' deep, but the water looked green and there were lots of particles floating around.

Dove at Tyee today up here in Nanaimo and the vis was maybe 15-20 feet above 100, started to get better, then at about 150 it was about 30 feet give or take. Overall a decent dive though.

Visibility was 15' at Ten Mile Point today.

I did a dive at the end of Salmon Rd. in Saanich Inlet this afternoon. It's a bit North of Henderson Pt. so the following visibility report might be relevant there too. Visibility was 20' in the shallows with lots of stringy, goopy plankton. It steadily cleared. At 50-60' deep, visibility was maybe 30-40'. Below 100' deep, visibility was at least 50'.
