So who exactly filed the complaint against Rob, and what was their motivation?

The motivation of the complainant should be irrelevant when dealing with accusations of safety and training violations.

I think you are confusing the complaint against Larry Green and the complaint against Rob. The Larry Green complaint was summarily dismissed.

I don't know who filed the complaint against Rob, or why it was done. I know who filed the complaint against Larry and why it was done--it was announced on the Internet for all to see.

Whether or not motivation should matter is a different matter. The question was how they knew what the motivation was.

That would be Steve Cushman and since he has never met Rob I wonder who fed him the information. I don't know for sure but I have a very good idea. We all know Steve is the most ethical and honest person in the cave diving community so anything he says must be the truth. :)

By-Law Committee members must sign confidentiality agreement (that waives jurisdiction and requires you to agree to pay the NACD legal fees if they decide to sue you). Also, a NACD lawyer must be present at any meeting of the by-law committee.

It just gets better and better all the time....

Yeah..strange how NAUI can manage the bylaws committee with none of that crap and it is bigger. I am not (nor would I be) a NACD member but I can't see a upside to playing by these rules. (for the participants, there are many for those behind the curtains)
