No. We do not attempt to do such merges, yet. I think you'd have to export what you have as CSV and then add to it, but I'm not sure how well that would work - I never tested it...
I could always export existing data in Subsurface to csv, backup the data and delete from Subsurface. Then after adding my data to the csv import again. May try that.

I just did a quick test and re-importing dives with more information will create duplicates. The change touches Subsurface all around (4 different languages in one small addition :D), so you will need a new build to test it out. The one Dirk linked on previous comment should get you going.

Played w/ the nightly release and when I export to my existing data to csv I only get the following fields in the csv. With that I cannot export, edit and reimport into a new data file as I've got other info as well. I think it may be easier for me to just hand enter start/end psi and temps.

Which other fields should we export. This is really easy to fix, you know?
And with your help we could turn this into a much more powerful feature. So don't give up, yet :)

Well this of course would be a case by case basis but in my case I have the follow fields populated by hand. Note: Some of these fields are easy to just copy/paste dive components from another dive as the data is always the same (weight/exposure protection/tank/dive buddy). I also note it exports in metric, any way to configure to export to imperial if that is your default unit? Really appreciate all the effort but if it isn't helping the masses please don't waste your time for my sake.

OK I looked into this some more. Yeah, this needs to be redone. Given that it's the holidays in large parts of the world it might take a few days, but we'll take this and make it much more useful.

Ok well if you want another slight bug.. When creating a new logbook it crashes. :)

Those daily builds are marked as 'experimental' for a reason. I think I found the bug that causes the crashes (and sadly there appear to be quite a few ways to make that daily build crash).
But the 4.3 release isn't affected by that particular bug, that came in just after the release in a bunch of patches that were actually intended to clean things up :-/

Lol, yeah one time it crashed entering pressures but I didn't want to go into it as it only did it twice.
