Oxycheq vs DSS vs Halcyon

The biggest concern I am finding with the DSS wing is they can be quite floppy from what I am being told.....
The shop I dive with (and contract teach for) is a Oxycheq dealer and so I am getting pressure to lean in that direction.

That probably explains the mis-information about DSS wings being "floppy". Wings are basically bags-with-air. They're ALL 'floppy', if they weren't they wouldn't work. The oxycheq machV and extreme wings are made out of a very thick, stiff fabric, but that doesn't change how they work under water. It just means they're very tough and durable. The DSS wings are also very tough and durable, but the fabric does seem to feel more flexible. It doesn't change the performance of the wings.

The donut vs horseshoe argument hasn't reared its idiotic head in a while....but the typical myth is that horseshoe wings are by design more difficult to vent. That's not true, but many people wrongly compare small single tank donut wings to large horseshoe wings designed for doubles. Anyhow, the small horseshoe DSS wings are totally different and among the most compact and efficient wings available.

But oxycheq wings are good too; I own the 18lb machV and use it for almost all of my single tank diving. Either way you'll be happy if you buy the right size wing.

Actually I knew that, the one I couldn't think of was Jeff from Zeagle, (although he sold the business).

Why would DSS be less expensive than an Oxycheq with a key man's discount? or is the shop trying to get you to purchase retail?
