That’s certainly different. Curious how it works!
And colors!
I met Shawn and his crew at the NSS-CDS cave diving conference back in May. I indicated my interest then. He finally got back to me and I went through the design process with him. Stock colors below. I got mine done in Gloss Blue. However, these are made in KY by sendcutsend, and I was told (for another fee) that ANY color Prismatic Powders has can be used.
And since Shawn is the designer.. he could probably make one even taller. He emailed me the CAD render to print out, and cut out in cardboard to test the height. Once I ok'd the slot positions and height, he sent it to production. I got it about 1.5 weeks later. He did mention titanium could be an option too, but I didn't want to spend all that.
It is exceptionally comfortable. Gets the belt down on my waist instead of on my gut. The top 3 slots act as triglides, so no heavier hardware needed up top.
All 4 of my weight pockets are trim pockets (2 from dive rite, 2 from the blue H) on my cam straps for trim.
Mine is mounted to a DGX 30# single wing. (sorry, no banana for scale)
I have a transpac on my tiny backmount doubles. It's ok, def better than a regular plate. Though, this Crush one blows that out of the water for comfort.
It does use book screws instead of wingnuts and bolts (would poke you in the back). I drilled the holes I am using out to 1/2", and am using isolating washers in there to prevent galvanic corrosion.
The way I have the harness run, each of the 5 sections can be replaced individually for wear. The webbing isn't continuous, and doesn't have any grommets.
