Good dive today. think I saw the mustache jawfish. Camera was very wonky about the focus :shakehead: Some times it can be so temperamental. sigh. downloading photos now.. also found a tiny fish that looked like either a saddled blenny or the male hairy blenny, but yet don't think it was either.. hmmm.. maybe an inch long. Tried to stay away from other divers, yet still some big camera/no brains managed to swim by and silt out the place...

Great viz on Friday, and so warm, I regretted wearing a full wetsuit.

Even managed to find another of the pretty little nudi's from the night dive on Monday!

Headed south tomorrow, can't wait to shoot little critters!

IMG_3740.jpgIMG_3737.jpgIMG_3764.jpgIMG_3738.jpgViz today about 20 at the start dropping on the west side before tidal change to about 15 ft. Nice dive as we saw what I'm guessing is mating behavior of jawfish--lady jaw hanging around the much larger males jawcave. The male came out of his cave and mouthed the female (or what I assume was a female), a number of times--very interesting, I shot some stills and video--camera still soaking. We saw another jaw with eggs, and a striated frogfish, and a big southern ray waaaay close..We saw a giant Lionfish as well on the rubble pile under the N edge of the fishing pier--where the lobsters were prior to the season beginning. We saw a guy with a snare that looked new checking around--I'm betting he went home empty. We saw Stumpy the yellow ray and another looking pregnant too. I'd sure like to see those guys born!! Going again tomorrow.

Temp on my Suunto 84-86 F. COMFY!

I went yesterday too. Didn't see anyone I knew. (Sorry Jim & Carol!) I concur with Jim's report. I was very comfortable in my 3mm, even after 2 1/2 hours. There are still moon jellies around but it didn't seem like as many stingy pieces as last week. All-in-all a fantastic dive.

Good to hear, only packed a skin..

But did you bring your lightning resistant suit? Lol the line of cars is backed in here at BHB waiting for the lighting and driving rain to quit. Some have pulled out and left. Definitely not true BHB Trolls. We will continue to wait! We don't let a little lightning stop us!

Excellent use of Photoshop to turn him orange.

That is *so* cool!! Reckon she was depositing the eggs in his jaws? I guess he could spit em out in the bottom of his jawcave and sperm em at his leisure, eh?

**snicker** Yes thanks Kevin.

The photo actually started out as a color-light-focus-sucking black frog fish.
