2.2KG is fairly impressive but it's not that hard to get close.

My homemade travel bpw setup, fully configured to dive weighs 2.5KG, and that's including light buckle, knife etc.

It is 5 lbs and the Seac that I posted is 6 lbs, so we are talking about less than half a kilo. A Zeagle Express Tech is under $300 and probably just as light.

I understand that it might be to pricey for some wallets but doesn't mean that its not worth it ... look at Zeagle or Halcyon single tank systems they range from 700 up to 1000+ (especially Zeagle) and you (me for sure) see them quite often. It's simple, you get what you pay for (in most cases).

You're joking right ? The product you have pointed is actually everything we didn't wanted in ours.

oh, I am not saying that I would not spend that on a single tank rig. I am simply saying I would not spend half that on a single tank rig at the moment. I already have a Halcyon setup for single tank back mount, and that has seen water only once in the past two years. I have no need for another rig that, while it may be very nice, does not fit my type of diving.

No, I am serious. So you didn't want a bladderless wing? You didn't want a lightweight non-standard backplate? You didn't want lightweight pads? It seems your product and their product are very similar. Perhaps yours is excuted better but at the price your asking it should be. If you stripped the Icaro of the metal hardware and replaced it with plastic it would probably weight less than your product. It looks like the plate could take a standard 1 piece harness.

Personally, I do not understand why you feel a diver needs this over a traditional wing with an aluminum, kydex or fabric plate. The weight savings are not significant.

Well your comparisons are like comparing apples and bananas, both fruits, both sweet etc, but us we go much deeper into the technical specifications and goals like geometry or bulkiness of the wing, drag underwater, backplate that is anatomically formed to give a diver maximum comfort of wearing and lot more ...
so comparing with your very general method yes they are similar like 100 others, but to us they are composition of unique and innovative features that we want for our customers and we're not saying that anybody needs this or that, we give options, the best we can come up with. The final choice is a customer choice and we respect it.

OP's gonna have to add a crotch d-ring then... which by the look of it, will be located right around your belly button!

not really, the front crotch strap D-ring can go as low as in every other BCD ...

I think that system looks great and really tempting, its actually $659 for system (no weight pockets) and most of other brands systems have pockets sold separately also we need to consider $659
as a comparison price which for this one seems to be very adequate ... cool, I see you guys are located in NJ, is there any way to see / try it at Dutch ?

I don't own a Seac or a Ghost so I cannot compare the two. However they compete in the product space of travel backplate and wings. So it is an apples to apples comparison. There are other solutions in that product space from Zeagle's Express Tech to Halcyon's Traveler system. I assume you prefer to have your product compared against the Halcyon rather than the Seac or Zeagle.

As far as the advantages you mention I am sure that every other BP/W manufacturer can make the same generalities. Oxycheq and DSS make low drag wings too and comfortable backplates. As a friendly suggestion I would recommend being more specific as to the advantages of the product on your website, your main selling point seems to be the low weight, you don't even mention the lift of the wing.

I know its late and eyes play games :) but please go again to the product page and take a closer look at the available choices picker window :) cheers !

Didn't see one pictured. Assumed there wasn't one.

My eyes were not playing tricks on me. That window was not there last night nor before.

OK, so here we have a short clip showing new xDeep Ghost BCD in action, recorded by Marcin Ch. from Poland.
Hope it will answer some questions some of you had here.

Enjoy and stay tuned for next ones.

This is weird. Not one of the posters has tried this design. The price is only $659 which is on the high side but not outrageous.

The double crotch straps might be the best thing ever. Nobody here knows bc we haven't tried it.

I'm happy with my system but I'm not going to dog a product that has obviously been thought through and appears to be quality.

Kudos on trying something different.
