Of course, Reck diver is wrong about this....the submerged lands around Phil foster, where we dive, are park land. I got this from ERM and the Park Service. Maybe in Reckdiver's mind it should not be called a marine park, because that would be a direction toward protection for the environment there, and the greater volume of his posting indicates he is against protecting the marine life in the park....

What are the boundaries of "park land"? By "park" do you mean a county park? Are you saying that the submerged "land" is actually under ownership of Palm Beach County? What are the boundaries of these parcels?

For some reason, I thought those areas might fall under State ownership.

There is a very cool underwater park initiative, that is only about 2 weeks away from announcement, and commencement. You won't have long to wait :)

So when you said Reck diver was wrong.. he was really correct..and you were wrong...?

And now you want us to know that (although your recent comments are false).... we are to believe you that, at some time in the future, your comments will be correct?

No. The submerged land we dive on at BHB is park land now....Nice try :)
What is changing, is much more involvement by the parks and ERM. You asked for it, you got it :)

The lease of the property is a matter of public record. I have read the recorded document. It is dated March 15, 1950. What happens two weeks from now, who knows? My crystal ball is still at the shop. The parts are on back order. I am quite certain though, any proposed changes to Phil Foster Park that adversely impact fisherman and boaters is doomed.

The fisherman are a protected user group. The spearfisherman are an undesriable group for use at the park. Boaters get little effect, except for the junk boats moored along the beach..they will be gone in 2 weeks.

Artificial Reef Construction to Begin at Phil Foster Park – Blue Heron Bridge- Diving Still Open | Florida Dive Connection See this....a beginning of what is to come....

Didn't see the ownership boundaries for the County "lands"? It is a shame that they are not dredging the area first, puting the sand on the beach under the bridge and then placing the reef materials in excavated, deeper areas that are more suitable for scuba divers.

The county does not own the submerged lands. The County is in a lease with a state until 2016.

Control is the issue. The park has it. Fortunately, people like you do not.
