Communications Issues with Blue Angel?

I think I am having the same problem. I find a flight time and price that works, then try to see if I can book the same time at the BA. I didn't hear back and then that flight is no longer available.

Book the flight first...maybe hotel too. Then worry about the diving. I would not wait a week to buy airfare because I could not reach my dive op. Of course I know how to use a telephone and get an answer in minutes.
 
I apologize for the issue you are having. We have recently changed our website blueangelresort.com, and all email is now being done through the official address info@blueangelresort.com, rather than Jeanie's email address ending with @fidmail.com. We do have a person who has been hired to monitor and respond to our email requests. Please let me know which address you were sending to, and I will try to find out where the problem lays. this is Eva from Blue Angel. I think maybe the problem might be that you emailed jeanie at her email. Unfortunately Jeanie always used her email address bluangelfidmail.com and chose to keep that email.. but she does not forwards guest email from there or i think even check it now. If you are trying to communicate with us using that email, we will not know to email you back,.

We have many ways for guests to keep in touch and seeing what we are up to.

As I said above, I used the new email address. I wonder if maybe I got caught up in the spam filter? I use gmail and have never had the problem before, but it's always possible.....

This helps immensely. As I said, I emailed the correct address, but could have been caught up in the spam filter or some such. It happens despite our best efforts. I'll try it again, and if it doesn't work I'll try Matt's email.

I've already booked my room there and airfare through Orbitz, I just need to make sure I have space on the boat.

I'm really glad I'm not on the naughty list. I've been diving with BA for 8 years now and I love everyone there. I'd really hate to find out that I'm the new black sheep of the family :wink:

I finally did just that, booked both through Orbitz and kept trying to make contact. I know how to use a phone pretty well, too. My issue comes when I don't know how to communicate properly with the people I am calling. Entirely my fault, but an issue nonetheless. Their English is waaaaaay better than my Espanol, but there are still sometimes translation issues. If I can't talk to them face to face, I prefer electronic communications with people who can understand Texan :cool2:

At any rate, problem solved. I'll be there 05/31-06/07 :D
 
I'm headed there in a few days.....staying and diving with Blue Angel.

Had a bit of problem getting in touch by email for a few weeks after Jeanie left, but I seem to be back in their good books again.

Did I mention I'll be in Cozumel in a few days? :D

We really have to get our schedules aligned.....we seem to be about 4 months off but in the same spots.

Maybe next year, if you can afford both diving and tuition payments :wink:
 
I had the same issue booking my upcoming trip in May. It took me 3 attempts to get a response before finally getting one. In that time frame my airfare for 2 went up by $150 per person. :( If I would have known that would happen I would have bit the bullet and paid for the phone call. I was also disappointed to hear that the inclusive "dive day lunches" have disappeared since we were last there 3 months ago. Not sure about the 1 included dinner, but I'm guessing it's gone too. Someone mentioned booking air first, I've always booked far enough out to do it the opposite way. I like too book hotel first, especially in this instance. I love the BA!! Even with this incident, It's still a top notch resort that Eva runs :) Can't wait for May!!!!
 
Sideways, my point is that diving is closer to a certainty compared to airfare...as you admit. I can stay at many hotels.

How much does a 5 - 10 minute phone call to Cozumel cost? A dollar?
 
Not sure Ron, Last time I called my Timeshare in Cabo (which is closer than Coz) it cost me an insane amount of money for a few mins. I Figured regular old email would be adequate. In hindsight, knowing what I know now.... next time I'll waste $10-20 for the phone call to save $300 in airfare...LOL.
