Sharky! Are you buying us a boat!?

US?!!! :d

P.S. #1: Thanks all, as usual, I should have just PM'd Dave D. on these matters...I need to stop by Aldora and actually meet "the man" one of these trips :)

p.s #2: Chief, no, just wanted to know what folks use 'in general' down there

The speed difference in many of the pangas on Coz is due to the number of motors they have (1or 2) and their respective HP. I've noticed a large variance in total HP between the boats.

Curious why you posted the question?

book research.

hmmmm.... sounds suspicious... all this talk about fast boats....

you're not thinking of moving any 'cargo' around down there are you?

I've noticed but didn't pay a lot of attention. What are the common engines used on the small boats? Yamaha 250cc or twin Yamaha 150cc?

Oh, then disregard my answer. The Maximus is 'special,' not general! Engage the warp drive, Capitan Carlos...... :cool3:

I've seen dual 85s, 115s, and 150s on 8 to 12 person pangas. I think I've seen a single 250 somewhere too.

A dual 85 panga is not a fast boat. :(

Come on DD, I thought we had enough police bashing after the Blue Angel incident. LOL

Heh!! We'll I suppose they're not "super" fast, but they are small, and anytime I've ridden on one it doesn't seem to add much to the
excursion time. We whizz right by the slow boats like they're standing still, but yea, if you've got a choice, extra power isn't a bad
thing. :D
