Cool beans! I plan on being there..

fun dive on the west end today. Water was about 79 and viz was a very milky 25 foot. Saw some battling hermit crabs and Stumpy the Alantic Longarm Octopus. Stumpy was quite willing to explore my fingers and hand after I was done filming.

I did get really scared when someone decided to surface in the boat channel directly under the bridge...glad for her no boats were around.

See you at the bridge tomorrow!

Glad to see Stumpy! thanks for posting! I tried to get over there, but never made it, then the tide turned and the vis dropped to nothin'.
Here's my video for the day.

With what I think were calmer seas today maybe tomorrow we might get a bit better viz. Although compared to
a week or so ago at least it's diveable again. Hoping to get in a dive tomorrow !

I'm hearing the winds will pick up again tomorrow...better get a dive in. It may get worse again.:nailbiter:

Yep. That's what I heard.. better to get the dive in while it's diveable...

Seas looked pretty good today. I have no idea about viz.

Oh..as for Stumpy..his limbs will regenerate. Morays ate them when he reached into holes.

I'm done through TG weekend anyway. Kidlet coming in Monday. House cleaning and stocking the fridge this weekend, then we start pigging out. Hopefully we show up at the Bridge Saturday after. :)

I take it you will do a brand new bouyancy check....don't forget to bring lots of extra weight...

We might show up Saturday as well. Thinking about what to bring. Is it an official "go?" Does anyone need to reserve a shelter or is it just first-come first served?

I know it's heresy, but we had great boat diving yesterday off of Jupiter (it was so calm we did 2 trips/4 tanks with Blue Tang), 80' vis on the Zion corridor and reefs, surprisingly lots of goliaths, 5 turtles, half dozen reef sharks, schools of spadefish, huge stingrays, lots of big gag groupers and some species of huge coronet fish that were 3 feet long with bright purple spots and stripes--never seen anything like those and not the usual ones. We are trying to ID them but they were too far away for a photo.

The only calm day the last three weeks (and very windy/rough the next 4 days) so we dropped everything and went for it (have to work Sunday to make up). Close to shore the water was still pretty murky so we dove farther out.
