Listened for a while today. Enjoyed the local ads but the music was the same overplayed classic rock that I avoid like the plague stateside. Not to say it is bad music, I have just heard those songs too many times. Definitely would prefer music to be either more contemporary or better yet regional to Coz.

Definitely would prefer music to be either more contemporary
*shudder* Really?
or better yet regional to Coz.
Well ok, I guess. What would that be?

Did you hear the scuba songs? That was amusing? Wrecked diver and tech diver....

There is a lot of good contemporary music, not just bubble gum pop. As far as regional music goes, Latin and Caribbean music would be great.

Ok I was hoping it would be Mexican folk music or something local too. Listened for a few minutes, but I'm not a radio listener anyway.

thnx for the info

I tried again. Nice commercial, then a country song from the 60s. :(

Hey, did you say your fav home Mexican cafe was "South of the border"...? The Country's Biggest Tourist Trap: South of the Border | Gadling.com

Well I like the music some and I am not really a music listener. The wife HATES it when I put the news or old time radio on the XM. I may have led her on about the music channels.... She REALLY hates that the talk channels have commercials.

AND NO. I did not say South of the Border. I said El Ranchero, El Ranchero small chain with only a couple locations and a staff slightly weak on English which makes for an authentic feel. Stopped there for lunch. Huevos con Chorizo..... Apparently they spent a little to fancy up the web site.

On the other hand, when I was a kid driving to FL (or riding as it was back then), we always stopped at South of the Border. One year, we drove my grandparent's car down to them. They took their trailer down for the winter and wanted a cheaper small car than the tow vehicle. We flew back. I didn't mention to anyone that the firecrackers I bought at south of the border were in my carry on. The security lady was a little upset and ripped my teddy bear out of the bag to get the fireworks. I thought my mother would have a seizure......:errrr:

Hey Chief! I bought Latinga, too, and made a 15 minute video of them on the way back from the whale sharks. Definitely fun music.
Hope Cozumel Radio will get some Latin musica going! I might have to turn ritmosonlatino back on shortly...
Too funny. Just listened to a Wet Wendy's ad that didn't say WW until the end - but brought Chad to mind early on. That's a little scary.
I like Proud Mary, but I am kinda addicted to Latin music - especially when I am here...
