Excessive use of noise-making devices underwater, i.e. quackers.

in a similiar vein, the annoying 'beeping' of dive computers, I hate being in a group where someone's computer is beeping, immediately increases my blood pressure and is VERY distracting, I've got all my alarms set to 'silent'.

Scuba divers who can't swim and divers who wear their fins on the boat.

I think one of my BIGGEST peeves with the diving world is women's sizes. 4th Element is coming out with a very intriguing new undergarment . . . and has no intention of making them in women's sizes. Bare has this interesting new stretchy dry suit . . . that doesn't come in women's sizes. Whites made beautiful boots for the Fusion . . . but not in women's sizes.

We are NOT small men!

(And in some things, like reel handles, nobody bothers to make the things for small men, either.)

Dive computers that make noise.
Dive computers that lock up.
Dive computers that reset their O2 and/or N2 limits.
Divers who don't ever read a computer manual before they jump in the water.
Dive leaders that hand their divers a little chunk of aluminum to "poke around the reef".
Anything else that makes noise underwater.

I would have "liked" this one two or three times if I could have. So true! And the odd thing about it (compared to some other sports that also regretfully don't have gear in women's sizes) is that I see so many female divers. I mean, it's not even like it's a sport wherein 90% of the divers are men, from what I've seen. (Am I just seeing a warped sampling?)

At any rate, it is horribly frustrating. It just makes it worse when you ask -- with perfectly good money in hand to spend -- if something comes in women's sizes and the sales person cheerfully responds: "Oh yes, they're Unisex!" :shakehead:

My Girlfriend coming up with more air than me.

Yes I know it's petty.

But Dammit!!!!!

Tugging my fin to get my attention.

Would you rather I turned your air off to get your attention? :rofl3: I have had some OBLIVIOUS buddies, and the only way I could get thier attention was to grab a fin.

You can afford custom made stuff.

..Another diver who had one of those huge clear cameras with 2 strobes, etc, acted completely disgusted I did that and told me it was only for real camera equipment. Real?! I used the hose and rinsed it off on later dives. Perhaps I missed something but this felt kinda rude to me. I thought the camera bucket was for cameras...

Kick him in the nuts
