RIVIERA BEACH Bacteria levels in the water have forced the Palm Beach County Health Department to issue a "No Swimming Advisory" for Phil Foster Park.
Two "consecutive samples" returned in the "poor range," prompting the advisory, said spokesman Tim O'Connor in a written release this afternoon. The advisory does not include Peanut Island.
O'Connor said the department's staff samples beach waters across the county on a weekly basis. For Phil Foster Park, the testing will continue on a daily basis until bacteria levels return to normal.
