Diving Log 5.0 also. I originally used the UWATEC software, but found DL5 gave me a lot more flexibility in displaying the data, and printing it if needed. An unexpected bonus came up when we had to show at least 25 dives in cold water for a class, DL5 was able to print out a summary of each dive quickly and easily. Haven't had to use the different computer capability yet, but agree with DaMaDo that it will really come in handy then. Plus Sven Knoch is always working to make it even better, which is somewhat rare with the manufacturers offerings.

I use MacDive on my Mac and Dive Log on my iPhone. I love both, and will love them even more when there's bidirectional syncing, which is coming soon. Both Nick (MacDive) and Greg (Dive Log) are great developers and very cool and responsive. Makes me happy to support their work.

I've been asked twice to show my logbook... I usually print off paper copies of the logs before I go anywhere I suspect I maybe asked to show it. At the end of the year I make sure I print up the last few dives and put them in a paper logbook.

Interesting. Where were you asked to show your paper logbook, and at what level of certification?

My favorite logging app is Sensus Manager, which is freely downloadable on the Reefnet.ca website. It's simple and works nicely with my Sensus Ultra device.

I also use a Sensus Ultra device, but did not like the Sensus Manager software for various reasons so I wrote an Excel macro program to download the Sensus data and compile the statistics for easier viewing.

I use MacDive with my Aeris Elite T3. The software keeps getting better month by month. There's a USB driver that I had to download and it was a little frustrating at first, but no problems now.

Whatever you download your dives from, its always a good idea to keep a copy online, in case your computer dies/crashes.

Good opportunity to advertise my site divelogs - Online logbooks for divers :blinking:

Currently imports 17 different dive computer formats, and its free...
Add pictures, videos, maps, etc. and export it to PDF to always have a local copy or printout. Also syncs with Diving Log 5, which many people here seem to use

Thanks, I'll check that out. I do back up my desktop computer, but it would be nice at times to share certain dives with people. Can you make some public and some private?
