Do you know if David got the videos or a link to them? He likes videos...

Thanks for sharing. Nice to see that one so feisty!

That dark line is exactly what we removed from the reef too, thanks for the video...

I don't have David's email, so I will send them to Memo - I'm sure he can pass them on .

Okay, I hope this will work... here are some links to video of the dive at Punta Sur taken by a nice guy named Glenn, who had to really struggle to get the images. He burned a disc for me before we left. The first link is David of Aldora freeing the nurse shark, and the second is me and David at our safety stop, holding the dead Black Tips.

Seeing is believing... I also have some photos, but the video pretty much describes what went on.

Thanks for getting these up on the board, but damn, it breaks my heart to see it. I never got to see the black tips at the southern reefs.

Not a personal attack on anyone, just my opinion, booth22.
Sorry if feelings were hurt.
Sad to see that video. I don't spend much time on these boards,
now I remember why, I'd rather be out diving.

Two weeks ago we saw three black tips on two different occassions on Dahlia(sp). They were darting all over the place. From 3.5 to 4.5 ft long from our perspective. We watched them both times for about two minutes. Very cool.

Excellent. I enjoy diving Dalila and will keep a keen eye out!

Very nice, I have made about 60 dives in Cozumel and have still only seen nurse sharks there.

We ran into similar situation back in 2006 at Maracaibo. I found 5 nurse sharks on a line. I cut the four that were still alive free. We were diving with Pumba at Blue Angel at the time. Not sure where the pictures went but gave copies to the park police.
