I was with you on night dive with the storm. To say it was white knuckle territory going around the ends of the cruise ship area would be a understatement. Good to meet you, hope to have the pleasure of diving with you again sometime!

I'm not sure why it is, but the seas are frequently significantly higher right there than they are anywhere else nearby when there are ships in port. There is apparently some sort of funneling of wave energy by the ships and/or piers.
