I always wondered why folks used scuba in 15ft of water...

Much easier to take macro pictures. There are times when I hover over a subject or sit in the sand next to one for 10 minutes, holding as still as possible to get the perfect shot. Some animals must build up a level of 'trust', that might take several minutes, before they will come out of their holes and pose for the camera and I don't think freediving allows enough time for those types of critters to get comfortable.

We dove da bridge today--nice, although the viz wasn't too good--ranging 10-15 ft. It was the 2nd time I've seen a Pipefish there--both times without a camera!! The water temp is still good at 84F. Going again tomorrow just cause we can

"Randynfl" dove BHB today. He said it was 30ft viz. Didn't ask him the temp. I'll be there in the morning, will post afterward.

LOL. You'll see me then. I heard 20 to 30 also.

I'm going with the last report of 84 degrees for the temp.

The temps outside have been so wacky this summer. But, I decided I'll be wearing a .5 mil.

Nice 84 degrees--I was ok in a skin. The viz was better that yesterday, but 30 seems mighty generous although one of the guys with us thought that was about right........
