Wow. Lover's was beautiful Sunday. 25-30' vis, fairly calm, etc.

Yup, got in about 10:25, swam out to 69' (lots of nettles above the sand beyond outer reef), mild to medium surge to 35 feet or so. Easy entry and exit (straddling high tide), 53 deg. Would have done another dive (even though it was raining steadily by the time I exited) but had a reverse squeeze that just wouldn't clear, so bagged it. Too bad, had 4 good to excellent dives this weekend.

Lightening, thunder, rain, small hail, power went out and back on followed by sunshine all in a twenty minute period... Crazy surfers never left the water. The lightening got pretty wicked for a while!

My current thoughts are that Saturday will be blown out real good, but there's
a shot at Sunday. I'm keeping my options open, even for Sat., but I've got
a back-up plan for both.

Any of you surfers have an idea why the AREN'T mumbling about Maverick's
on Saturday? Big long west swell, low winds, maybe some showers, sounds
good for the surfers.

What happens, happens.

Beautiful double rainbow photo Paula :)

No Kathy, Sorry, but I have not left the house yet today...

Chatted with the guys at Aquarius today - they said BW was like a lake with an occasional swell but there was no vis report.

I logged some pool time & am just too lazy to go diving in hail storms so will probably hit the pool again tomorrow :).

I work with a surfer dude. He says they'll call it if the waves are too big, which looks likely if you're looking at the forecast. If the forecast is calling for 21-25 foot seas, it's likely Maverick's will see some 50 footers.

Time to bust out the jet-skis!
