    SF Bay Area
    Gender:
    Male
    Certification Agencies:
    SSI, PADI, DAN
    Dive History:
OW cert in Monterey/Carmel area, where I do most of my diving. A few dives in mountain lakes. Have yet to go to any exotic dive destinations, but will eventually go to places where there are wrecks to dive. I plan to get tech certified so I can dive deep wrecks, including penetration, and may get cave certified although I have less interest in that. I'm in good shape and a strong swimmer; I like to cover longish distances when shore diving, and enjoy doing compass nav. and surveying/mapping. With the help of some friends I've mapped a compass navigation course at the breakwater in Monterey, using GPS, an orienteering compass, surveyor's tape and a reel: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ba_diving/files/San%20Carlos%20Beach%20%28Breakwater%29/. As with many of my other sports, I often prefer diving solo, as my SAC rate is lower and I never feel rushed or held back, nor do I have to worry about buddies. But I like diving with buddies with similar conditioning, speed and interests.
