The dive industry is full of surprises and strange bedfellows :D

DA_Aquamaster and I think some others have posted on this topic before. I believe I've read Scuabpro has/does use TUSA's production facility for some of it's regs... don't know for sure.

Best wishes.

and I know TUSA has made some SCUBAPRO stuff and sold it as their own. I bought my wife a TUSA air 2 which is identical to the scubapro model. I still have it, brand new in the box...somewhere.

Oceanic Delta 4.1 FDX 10 Regulator (Delta IV)...if it's good enough for the Navy, it's good enough for me.

what I have now. Scubapro Mk25/G250V. If it was for cold water, a Mk17/G250V

Not to say that any others are bad choices, but I have a hard time imagining being happier with one than I am with this rig.

MK17/G250V or MK25/ S600 either would be a good choice i dive the latter

If you could have any reg you wanted that had to cover all the bases (fresh, salt, warm, cold but not ice, air/nitrox, etc.) what would you get?
Apeks XTX 200s, without question.
khacken:
How do you use the swivel with the seven foot hose?
Interesting question, but why would the presence of a 7 ft hose make a difference? You would put the swivel next to the 2nd stage, just as you would with a shorter hose. Perhaps, I miss the actual focus of your question, though.I use swivels on both regs when diving sidemount - one is a 7 ft hose, the other is a shorter necklace unit. No problem with either.
khacken:
When I switch to the seven foot hose, I was told the swivel had to be bought as a hose and swivel combo and it was pricey.
I am not aware of a reason why the swivel and hose must be purchased together. The swivel itself is not inexpensive. But, it is not linked to the hose.

Well I didn't want to pick specific brands models as I kind of hoped we'd have some folks using mixed brands of 1st/2nd stages (which we do) or just some more unique stuff than the more common items (which we also do).

Been very interesting to look up some of the stuff people are using. :)

Scubapro MK25/S600. I dive plenty of cold water and love that reg.
