I guess that rules out all the quarries, as you can't do that 400' expedition rebreather dive...

Let me clarify ... All levels of recreational diving. How's that?

Bottom line ... someplace deeper then say 50'. Haigh would be a good option if it only had camping. France Park ... fun place to dive occasionally and I'm there a number of times each year, but at 25' not a real good option for a diving weekend.

Queen and I were only kidding about Haigh. While it would be lovely to have a 20 minute drive to dive with all of you again, I know it does not support the needs of this group. There is camping close by but not onsite so it is not an option. Of course, if anyone is heading to Haigh, I would gladly meet you guys at the quarry (I just need a little bit of notice to clear my schedule)

I'm all for that. I think of that more as a GLWC Group Trip, but it's a good idea.

The problem with doing that as a M&G is that a M&G requires options that allow 30+ folks to dive off and on over 3 days at their own convenience. IMO that rules out GL charters.

Again, I think it's an awesome idea. I love diving the Lakes and get out on them 2-4 times a season. It's just that I don't see how that would work as a M&G. But as a group trip for 10-15 people ... awesome!

Actually, one of the main reasons for this forum on SB was so people could find dive buddies for charters. The Fall M & G was initially a good time to shoot the breeze about the wreck diving over the summer and the Spring M & G was a time to tune up and shakedown dive gear for the wreck season. For most of us, that is still true :) . This is the first spring M & G that I have been at where I haven't seen tools out and equipment being worked on at least part of the time.

I would love to go on a charter, but I need to see how work schedules and money supplies cooperate as well as weather.

Opps!

You must not have been hanging around Ted! :rofl3:

Or James from Sea the World.

He worked on my Octo for me. Kudos for that James.

If I live in Tennessee, am I allowed to come to the Meet n Greet??
