Dang it, won't make it. Everything's mixed, analyzed and sitting in the garage :(

I really want to dive, maybe I can buddy up some other weekend with someone that's heading down there.

Sorry about this, it was a sure thing until my GF got sick…

Roak

Sorry she's ill Roak, and that you can't come. Hope she feels better soon. Could be worse, like on a crowded Blackbeards with a flu relapse - been there, done that.

I heard from Ron: He suggested I bring lobster, crab legs, or deserts. Fried fruit pies okay? Any preferences...??

Was that just for him, or are there sharesies?:rofl3:

If you can make it down to Castle Rock by 12:30 we can rideshare... if not then we will try to wait for you Friday Night if we can... :) Or we can always do 2 night dives!

the chile thing sounds good.

My drysuit is a front entry, so no help required!

Cheers,

Justin

Thanks, but I gotta work until noon :(
but I'm packed and ready to go, so I'm walking out of the office and going right to the highway so I expect to be there around 7pm or so. Rick has my cell phone # so you guys can give me a call if needed. see ya down there!

Actually, so is mine. But I couldn't let the opportunity go by! :eyebrow:

What a great time we had this weekend!! Had 12 divers and two bubble watchers on Saturday and 22 divers and 2 bubble watchers on Sunday! Lots of fun, great cookout, some moderate beer drinking...... and lots of BS'ing as usual

Thanks for all who came out and had a great weekend! Looking forward to the next one.

Here's a shot of Sean and Tom from our night dive! Thanks to Dan for being a voice actuated light stand and holding the strobe for the background!! Don't they look "Manly"???

Hey Jer & I enjoyed the weekend outing, great food, super camaraderie (that's you guys), nice weather aside from the brief lightening show, small crowd with great water viz again
B-cheer.gif
etc. Glad my choice on the fried fruit pies went over well, but then the brownies and chocolate chips were nice on top of the brats & beans. :toot:

We keep thinking after a few hundred dives, we're going to learn how to do this. We still had out challenges and mishaps, like Jer's floating camera loss - thanks for the rescue Kev, but over all great. Got some gear issues to resolve, but glad to learn in New Mexico rather than Belize or somewhere else. :thumb:

Wish we'd asked y'all what y'all were doing for dinner. Would be nice to try another place and to have met up with y'all there. Next time!

Good time indeed.(x2)

Don, I brought a few of those pies home with me for the family... thanks!

Kevin, great talking with you, thanks for all the pointers on the Dry suit.

Tom, Shaun(Shawn?), Jason & Kevin - thanks for all the "DIR" info. You guys have awesome trim in the water.

Rick, thanks for spotting me in the drysuit.

Tjack, RonFrank - thanks for getting turned around in the perch lake dive...(or the meteor, etc) I think my hamstring was shot anyway. I have never done a mad dash surface swim during a hail/lightning storm like that... nice to see the split fins in action. It was even better that during Tjack's "slightly buoyant" ascent, that I managed to do all the right stuff with my own drysuit. My downloaded profiles say that I caught my own newb drysuit issues JUST in time! Good dive... I think I passed my drysuit test! I even stayed dry during the hailstorm. Dry is great!

Spencer - good times.

Winterhawk - thanks for driving! Fun times.

All - Cheers! Post some pix.

-Justin

I heard the pies all vanished; I guess that's close enough. :D

I meant to ask how Perch was? Very murky? Y'all were in it for the storm? Got hail? Wow! Hope your hamstring heals well & quickly. Bummer.
