Diving Sunday, interested?

Just got my OW cert, so I'm excited to dive when possible. I'll admit I didn't read the whole thread (will be doing that later), but would be interested in a group as well. I've got lots to learn, and being able to do it in a neutral (non-LDS specific) would be nice. :)

Hey Basher, welcome!
You've found the right area on SB just keep checking in on Southwest Sand Sharks.
There is a very active dive community here in AZ. You be able to find others to dive Lake Pleasant with nearly every weekend.
There are LDS that regularly have trips to Mexico and California.
Although we have started to do some non-LDS specific socializing. (Last friday's Meet & Greet) I would suggest you also get to know multiple LDS and feel free to patronize which ever gives you what you want or need at the particular moment you need it. Don't be pressured into aligning yourself with a single shop. That said there are some shops that offer better prices, training, selection or travel. Also there are quite a number to choose from in the Phoenix area.

RA, thanks for the advice. I'm slowly getting to know other local divers (got sucked into this whole thing by a few, so I had a jump start), and will continue to visit the LDS' near me. There are about 5 within 20 minutes of me, so I'm pretty well located. :)
