275 feet in Bonaire. Two guys had dropped to 200 feet and run out of air coming back up. They ended up dropping their gear and doing an ESA. I went back down after their gear which was sitting on the bottom at 275. Using only regular air and a stashed pair of super 80s hanging at 30 feet for my decomp stop. The dive ended up taking 4 hours 22 minutes. That is when both dive computers told me I was safe and I exited.

Wow..

You should see the T-shirt I got. They had me a shirt made with a big gorilla on it in scuba gear. It became kind of a club for those diving over 3 hours on one dive. Doing so earned you a shirt.

Why so long? Were you down there a long time? Did you send the gear up in real time, or just attach a line (& surface buoy so it could be hauled up from the surface (as I would have done)?

I've been to that sort of depth on air on several occasions and I managed it in a great deal less time than that. Usually though I'd use mix.

35 feet...I've done 2 dives towards my certification :) When I finish, I'm going to keep it under 50 feet untill I get some real experience under my belt.
