What do you do when your computer is not working and the manufacturer will not support you?

Repair it yourself.

You can try to find someone who can repair it, but most likely you are better off chucking it and getting a new one...

I fix it myself. There's almost never a reason to scrap an entire computer and start from scratch.

don't chuck it... there are several manufacturers that will take old computer in as "trade in" to get you to buy their new computer. The old computer doesn't have to work in many cases.

so it's worth something even dead if you want to trade it in towards a new one.

For Example, Oceanic has a trade in for gear. So does Aerris (same company as Oceanic). see http://www.oceanicworldwide.com/services_upgrades.html

Cochran has a trade in program

So does AL on Suunto computers
