Although it had been a long time since I was on a boat that Jorge was driving I was glad to see him. I used to bring students down every weekend to the operation he was working for back in the mid 90's. I was glad to have a captain that was thorough and safety oriented.

Jorge is a good dive boat captain. Much like DIR training says you dive at the lowest level of anyone on the dive, his briefings are aimed at the lowest common denominator on the boat.

I don't know how many people saw the small CF that took place at the start of the Eagle dive since most everyone was already in the water but one of the two guys that weren't part of our group apparently ignored Fred & Jim's briefing and descended without pulling himself to the front of the boat and going down the mooring line. Jim had to heave the float ball out to bring him in. I have no doubt being a dive boat captain in the Keys requires more patience than I possess.

Is it just me, or does there seem to be a breakdown for every event? :11: Who needs to be thrown overboard?
Some breakdowns create life-long bonds of friendship... :14: (As you well know, Tracy's foot knows, Dario understands and Walter got used to... )

I could let sleeping dogs lie but it's just not my nature.

If you weren't diving with the CRD boats, you weren't diving at "the" event this thread is titled about, ...
I'm sorry... The original event did not include CRD... Sorry, Gary... I am sure the event was enhanced by your participation. I just want the record to be correct.

Stop being a git Jim. :shakehead:
Last year the trips ran with Cristal Clear and this year they ran with CRD. We also had a different organizer.
The trips the organizer put together for the event were with CRD. Is that too difficult to comprehend?
If it is, I can point you to the post where this was all explained by the SB staff. However, at the moment, I need to get on my way to Boynton to go do some diving.

You make inflaming comments... then call me a git... Great! :shakehead:

It's easier to see why some were diving with "friends"... :shakehead:

::ahem:: I wasn't there last weekend because it was my last weekend to train for this coming weekend...I'm a bystander in this thread and it's bothering me that people are arguing about this.

Let's remember, last year's event was put together solely for us to take advantage of Cristal Clear's generous offer of a free two-tank dive for any ScubaBoard member. We all picked the date and came down and it was fun.

Cristal Clear is no more. That first event can never be repeated.

I am so glad that everyone had a good time, and now it's time to kiss and make up and start thinking about the Invasion!!!

And no tongue

Jim the peace keeper .... but this statement is so very true.

I am happy everyone had a great time and it does not matter who dove where as long as friends get together and have a fun & safe dive(s).
Last years event was a success because Crystal Clear offered "Free" dives, many of us chose to use our free dives at SinkO, this allowed many more to come because they did not have to pay for the dives.
This year seemed to have alot of conflict $$, we hope next year will be fun for all scubaboard members.
See you guys at the invasion.
