so many PPD's...aaaahhhhh.....I am confused...ok, who cares....we know which PPD counts anyway.

Nobody really cares except when someone shady decides to use the name to make money... Do we want to support someone like that? Or have the name associated with someone like that?

The initial post, no one cared. As I said before, I was posting on ******************. So were you if I remember

I love diving in the Philippines and want to promote that, as does everyone here... but, (theres' always one of those isn't there ) I only have so many hours in the day. I'm not going to waste them when there are so many other, more reputable boards out there that I can support.

Why is it that so many of the other major boards have banned ****************** ??

HAve you seen the Avatar this Stel is using? Seems pretty much like a lot of his other drones...

Stel is a model.... look at her page... she has plenty of "normal" photos

I look at their page now immediately when we become friends. Generally, the first thing I look for is photos. If they have none other than the profile photo, a big red flag goes up. A lot of times that's enough for me to delete them immediately

I have to agree with Bill, BabyD. We are talking about our name being associated with a guy who is a scam artist. I for one do not want any link to a guy like that. He is trying to capitalize on our good name and make money from it. As Bill pointed out, he and his fake Mods like iDiveChick have been banned from many other boards like this one. That has to make you wonder doesn't it?

I have been having an exchange with Dave "The Publisher" and the last thing he said to me was that I seemed to be very possessive about the name PPD, "for a white guy". Now most of my friends in Canada are Filipino and I have a lot of terrific friends here. That statement really pissed me off but coming from a non-resident "white guy" like him it didn't surprise me. I told him the members of the real PPD don't base membership on skin color.

Is she on your friends list? My own profile page is restricted except to my friends. It wouldn't suprise me if hers is too.

She has lots of stuff there and plenty of photos. I think over 200 that she's in. Diving, at parties, with friends.... stuff like that. She is definitly a real person.

That may be part of the misunderstanding. Some of these girls, especially the ones who are models, are putting photos from their portfolio as their profile photo. If you're not on their friends list then their privacy settings prevent you from seeing much else. Some of the guys may have assumed they're fake because of Dave's reputation when in fact, it's just that they have their privacy settings on.

If you weren't on my friends list you wouldn't be able to see any of my photo albums, what groups I'm in, what causes I support, what games I play... nothing except my profile photo and very basic information.
