Bingo. And unfortunately, that type of diving often leads to being overweight. Which is not always a bad thing. I would MUCH rather be overweighted in a cave, than underweighted.

Well your situation is different and at the far extreme of diving.
I'm more than sure you guys have lot's of training in the area of buoyancy and have practiced the use of redundant systems over and over again, but that's a whole different animal.

I'm talking about regular single tank diving.

me, me, me, you, me, you, I, I, I, I, me, I, me, I, you, you, you, NO, NO, this, this, this. need, need, need. LOOk ME, look ME, How about a Guinness? NOW YOUR TALKING!!!

its all about progression. your dive style will change as you gain more exp. and meet new people. keep an open mind. and your ears open. what you knock today you could dive tomorrow. Im siding with ZKY and nemrod on this one.

now back to my beer!!

Didn't realise this was an argument and that ppl were taking sides.

Divers talk about the i3 not being unique, that several BC's out their have the push rod technology; which BC's are you refering to, I'd like to know?

When I started OW back in September, I didn't see anyone using the i3, few Pro QD, Zeagles, some Balance and Malibu lots of Cressi and Oceanic. No where was the i3 present and I tried to rent one, that was hopeless, too new everyone said.

I have successfully dialed into my neutral bouyancy with this i3 and managed to get some really nice video and pictures at lover's point, including a pack of leopard sharks. Having the lever at my left arm, with a small tap I could deflate or inflate my BC while taking pictures with my right hand.

I have the pictures and video to back up my dexterity with this contraption of mine; I'm comfortable photographing and video taping my small underwater adventures.

I feel my setup is unique to all of my particular gear; I got slammed about the i3, then my regulator got hit because I choose the Kronos which vents to the side, good for photography. I also got attacked on my Atomic submask with a black skirt; I wanted less light on the sides pushing for better pics.

I also got attacked about purchasing the Pinnacles ME-7 with merino linning. I dive hooded vest, heated torso, gloves and boots that are all Merino. I'm 7mm at the head, 13mm at the toso, 10mm at the groin and 7mm at the extremeties. 6mm at the boots and 4mm at the hand.

BP/W divers wanted me in a drysuit and with a apeks XTX200.

Then came the attacks on my Atomic split fins, then my Aqualung impulse 3 snorkel got attacked.

I even got attacked on my underwater housing made by Canon, everyone wanted me to purchase the Ikelite to dive down to 200 feet; Canon can only go to 130 recommended.

Wow, so I guess I'm not unique because I choose much different gear than the other beginning OW divers at BW?

I even recently got attacked that I purchased the VT3 by oceanic and should have gone with just a base computer and Steel SPG.

Then I purchased the Oceanic wrist compass and got attacked and should have got SK7 by Sunnto.

So how long will it be until someone jumps in and attacks my last two purchases? X7 Steel 100 by Worthington and coated hard weights...

All this talk about the BP/W, I'm really getting curious on diving this unit since so many users swear by it. Is it really all that and a bag of chips?

Oh, I forgot to mention that with all my cetecea layards or clips, I have become the walking death sentence, according to some on this thread I was technically a disaster ready to happen.

I think maybe he's right, maybe that's why the pack of leopard sharks arrived at Lovers point on my 10th dive; they new someone rang the dinner bell.

Look everyone it's that i3 nut with all his gear, lets get him, he won't be able to fight us with so much gear. :) :)

I think I've heard enough, all I need to see now is signs underwater at Break Water and Lovers Point and other beach saying; 1 800 BP/W on sale at leisurepro.com I will really have to get rid of my i3 and venture to the dark side of the force; okay the Jedi side... I don't want to piss off any tech divers.... :)

I was attacked... I was attacked... I was attacked... I was attacked... I was attacked... I was attacked... I was attacked... I was attacked... I was attacked... I was attacked...

You invite comments, and when you get them claim you're being attacked?

:rofl3:

RJP,

As long as I can get you to respond, I've done my job... :D All I need you to say is, "Luke let go, trust your feelings, search down deep, YOU BELONG IN a BP/W......"

Luke then says, "NOOOOO!!!! It's a lie, I love my i3".....

Anyone for episode 7 "Return of the BP/W"...:popcorn::popcorn:

Mike,

how you perhaps considered looking into a BP/W?
