In days of old, before Google became a monetary monster, a search for all inclusive diving stays in Cozumel resulted in a plethora of data. Only the richly rich places get listed that the average diver can't touch.
So, where do y'all go? Mind you, I am a retired teacher, disabled vet. Not rich but, moderate means.
Don't want roaches in the bed with me but, don't need 5 Star caviar dreams either. Decent eats and good diving. If you know of "Sand Dollar Diving" and their small boats in Coz, I was happy. Great folks. In rough seas, a tad concerned, but good times.
Thanks a bunches

I'm not an AI guy but I just did a quick search and for about $161 per night, based on double occupancy, you could stay at the Occidental, the Allegro or the Cozumel Resort by Wyndham.

That's pretty inexpensive for AI. $1,200 for a week. Call the room $100/night, that's $30 per night per person for the AI.

Forget AI, are there ANY deals for one week of lodging in peak summer/low tourism/hurricane season?

Check Suites Colonial. When I was looking at places for August I saw it was priced pretty reasonably. I'm taking a gamble and booked a room at the new condo building where Europa used to be. I wanted a place with a kitchen and the price wasn't bad.

few of us just came back from Cozumel last month. We stayed at Hotel Cozumel. All inclusive. Food OK. Alcohol included. Rooms clean, and include a hammock! Diving was good, but slow boats, so be ready for a long ride. DMs good.

I do not know about budget, but I booked a package through Aldora that includes five days of diving for two with them, and seven nights at Hotel Cozumel, all inclusive. I am taking this trip next week so do not have a report on it, but it works out to $2,968 for both of us. I worked with Aldora to get the quote and book the package.

When I was diving with Dressel, I would stay at the Occidental and walk down the beach each day. I was very happy at the Occidental. It isn't as big as most AIs, and the food was good (and I am picky.) There are separate three story buildings that are open in the middle with palm trees growing through the ceiling. There are perhaps 8 rooms on each floor. Each room has a small balocony, and a refrigerator stocked with water, sodas and beer. You get a large bathroom with both a bathtub and big shower. There is a buffet, and three sitdown restaurants-2 of which are open each night. You must have reservations, and you get 2-3 reservations per week. There is a seafood, Mediterrenean, and a Mexican. There is a big pool, and adult pool, and the ocean, but the beach is very small, but very sandy-as is the ocean there. The staff is friendly, and I found the food good to very good. There was a decent variety, too. You could dive with dressel, or other operations will pick you up there. There is a dive shop there-I can't tell you aything about it as I never dove with them.

You could also consider booking an apartment through AirBnB-I personally haven't tried it, but you can find cheap options there, and you can lower your food costs. And if you stay right in San Miguel, you make it much easier to find a dive shop.
