I have both the G260 and S620ti.
Tuned identically and used on the same 1st stage, I find the behaviour of G260 better. And when I say better, I mean less noticeable.
That being said, I started diving with smaller regulators and I always considered the effort on a small 2nd stage as "the norm" for me. With that in mind, I often switch mid-dive to my secondary C370, it's brilliant.

Again everything above is based on personal experience and preference. The bigger G260 is more noticeable and chunky during dives as it creates a bit more drag, but I love the way it performs and the looks. S620 is close to perfect size, but I wouldn't call it pretty and I do not like how the adjuster knob behaves. C370 is perfect size, it's cute and I really cannot complain about anything.

I got me 2 og 25Ts (not evo) already from KE last year for about half that price so I’m good on the 1sts anyways
Ohhh... i might need to set up a search for those.. my account hates me already though, just ordered the Mk25T/S620.
But i only have 3 Mk25E and 2 Mk25 and now the Mk25ET.. so more is always better.

Damn, do we sound like reg nerds, don't we? :)
Nah... totally normal behaviour, i have no idea what you're talking about. Move along, nothing to see...

If I come across something interesting along the lines I’ll give you a heads up
To find them I had an alert on all regulator posting on KE (hello spam notifications)

On the 25 front once I got the 2 Ti ones I just called it „satt“, but I did acquire a few more brass 25s while hunting for g500s and a few other 2nds like the 250crystal (package deals)

My account also hates me 😅
And congrats on pulling the gun on the latest T

TFX; To F’n Xpensive:) but worth it, I only have the second stage because I prefer the MK 17 over any piston reg but while the 620 is fine once you dive a center balance like the TFX it’s hard to not spend the money on one ;)
When it comes to scuba, i am as willing to spend money as just about anyone I know.... i scrimp in other areas of my life (20+ year old vehicle, 20+ year old underwear lol) but when it comes to scuba, i don't quibble.

My main buying philosophy is reliability (I don't like missing a dive for any reason and I do what I can to avoid any issue that could potentially compromise a dive opportunity).

My second consideration is, "How willl this purchase enhance my dive?" A DPV to cover more ground, see more stuff, get me back to the boat in a current? No problem! A Shearwater computer that is easier to read with my aging eyes? Absolutely! A heated vest so I can do longer dives in comfort? You bet! Not one but *TWO* boats so I can dive where I want, when I want? Yes, I know I have an addiction.

But i just can't justify splurging the kind on money that Atomic is asking. It seems absolutely crazy to me to invest that money in a reg that breathes incrementally better than the half dozen I already have. Maybe I could notice the difference in a side-by-side comparison but is it going to let me dive in a fundamentally better way; to see more cool stuff; be more reliable? No.

It might earmark me on a dive boat (if I went on charter boats) or online for that matter, as the most seriously obsessed diver who is commited to the absolute top-of-the-line gear without consideration of cost. But I keep a low profile and try not to spend too much time thinking about what other people think of me.

However, it's a free country and people are welcome to spend money on whatever makes them happy. I know I certainly do ;)

You seriously overestimate people's knowledge or interest in gear. I wish it was like that, that everyone is a gear nerd, since it would be so much fun to talk to everyone about their gear.

But most people i know don't even know what regs they own and they never could tell what someone else has. :shakehead:

I think you seriously underestimate how much stock some people put in such things.

Like building a Noahs arc for regs?
(I kinda know I’m demented already 😂)

I’m still debating getting a TFX 2nd tho — it’s quite a hefty price

I do plenty of things that make no fiscal sense (did I mention the boats?) but that reg is a bridge too far for me.

I find breathing something I’ve really enjoyed for many years, don’t really like dive boats because they don’t run on my schedule so I’ve saved more than enough to buy the TFX second, yes it cost to damn much but it only took one dive for the cost to seem less significant.
