Thanks. Do you recommend these cylinder capacities for a diver who is 5'8"? I'm not worried too much about weight: I have strong legs. It's the height I'm worried about, especially the longer 120s. I've never tried these before but I know that most 120s are longer than the typical Al80s and steel LP85s that I've tried. I know that the typical 130 is about the same length as these small cylinders though.
Oh I don't know, you'd have to try one to see if it's too long. I think it's personal preference. The longer tanks will rest on your butt cheeks just so you know. Do a lot of squats and you'll form a nice deep V there and provide a nice notch to hold the tank. The chicks will like it too.

I'm north of the GG bridge up in Sonoma County, city of Santa Rosa to be exact. A lot of hippies But the weather is nice.
It's right smack in the middle of wine country, it's also becoming a big huge tourist trap.
If you look on google maps you will see Jenner by the Sea (north of Bodega Bay), Stillwater is about 17 miles north of Jenner.
Really pretty spot!

Beautiful. My brother's research area in those days was Point Reyes, just down the street from you.

I dived Point Reyes right below the lighthouse in that little cove at the base of the sheer cliff.
That was my second most butt puckering dive right behind Delgada Canyon.
We actually got there by accident. My dive buddy and I took my boat out of Bodega Bay headed to Tomales Bay, and I over shot Tomales by several miles thinking the furthest headland sticking out was Tomales, but then realized we were heading to Pt. Reyes, so we just continued on for an adventure. 25 miles later we finally got there.
That was one adrenaline frikin' rush man!
Abalone, fish, structure, walls, all on steroids!
There's a current clash right there at the point where two flow systems come together so there always a white wash line heading out from the point. It damn near spun my boat around trying to get through it. But when we went south and wrapped around the corner below the lighthouse in the lee of the point it was calm. The water was dark green/black only because the vis was about 40'. It was just shaded and deep.

I'll probably try a 130 or 133 then, since they're usually shorter than 120s.

😆 I was known for my legs and glutes when I was an active duty Marine. I think I still got it-- a lil bit 😅.

I've been to beautiful Santa Rosa. The first time was when my hippie friends invited me to a party up there years ago. Unfortunately, I never went diving when I was stationed in Monterey more than once, and in Alameda.

I don't know how beautiful SR is now, I think it's kinda a sh_t hole myself. We were given the proud title of the fifth most homeless populated city per capita in the country right behind San Jose. They think SF is idyllic and model everything they do after that total cluster F of a city.
They also destroyed downtown by putting that mall right smack in the middle of downtown, they tore down one of the most iconic and regal downtown courthouses in the country, and put the damn freeway right through the center of town destroying hundreds if not a few thousand glorious and historic victorian homes, mansions, and classic craftsmans. They should be ashamed of themselves!!
Healdsburg is now the little crown jewel of Sonoma County. We see Hollywood A-listers there regularly.

I was born and raised in Carmel and my Russian grandparents lived in Monterey. My grandpaw work at DLI in Monterey during the cold war training CIA agents to speak Russian and learn the culture to become spies.
I also remember hearing all the artillery practice going on at Ft. Ord.
