Thank you for pointing out exactly what the post above yours pointed out. I don't believe that note was on the page when I was shopping but that is neither here nor there.
Maybe my assuming, is as airy fairy as your "I don't believe, neither here nor there" says not much

So yeah no problem, I added your quote to my post in the hope you would come back and read it
In case you were off places thinking aloud inventing some other inappropriate misleading BS titles

Yikes. Not sure what your problem is. The title is not misleading, I looked at two items, they were both out-of-stock, I asked here if there was a problem with the supplier. Most of my other gear is AquaLung, I've gotten a little picky about suppliers being healthy.

Also, I was being nice to DGX by saying "I don't believe...". In fact the note about supply issues was not on the site when I looked for those items.

Of course we can. You know this better than anyone since you actually have done it by producing Freedom Plates. But in the larger picture, economic actors will tend to maximizing total economic returns. Which I seem to recall is why you stopped making them, even though there is definitely still demand.
The reason I took a break was because during covid we had all the supply chain issues. I'm using domestic stainless too because Chinese stainless is garbage. But at the time it didn't matter where it was made, plants were shut down so nothing was being made anywhere. As a result stainless prices soared 500%. Just to have the plates laser cut plus the material, each unit would have costed the same or more than what I was selling them for at retail before. There was also a thing called greedflation that was happening. Suppliers were claiming supply chain issues for their soaring prices but some of that was just money grabbing when they may not have been affected at all, and supply chain issues was just a great excuse.
I could see that potentially becoming a problem again with this tariff stuff.
I actually did not stop making plates, I'm just not selling them here. I have been buying rem stock at a local supplier that still has odd and ends at a decent per lb. price and I've been cutting everything in-house.
I have been supplying the local market and the urchin divers get first pick.
