It appears this battery, while sealed…still uses the same connections to them like the PTB batts….i had thought you mentioned the connection point as a weak spot in your opinion? Or is there some new connection point to install with the battery upgrade?

No they don't. *The photo in the provided link clearly shows an Anderson connector.*

I bought the cells from an online store - not the manufacturer - but it was an online store that the manufacturer suggested as providing known good quality cells.

I see now…..it was this connector that had me thinking it still used the same pin connections. But using to hold battery pack in place I presume

Correct. That connector is what the pack clips into to hold it in place. Power does not go through it.
