What did you actually put in place of the PTB battery set up? That sounds like quite the project.

 
It appears this battery, while sealed…still uses the same connections to them like the PTB batts….i had thought you mentioned the connection point as a weak spot in your opinion? Or is there some new connection point to install with the battery upgrade?

No they don't. *The photo in the provided link clearly shows an Anderson connector.*

I see now…..it was this connector that had me thinking it still used the same pin connections. But using to hold battery pack in place I presume

Correct. That connector is what the pack clips into to hold it in place. Power does not go through it.
