So this now brings up a rather critical question - will I fit the Rolock90 (@88.64) or even the Kubi 90mm, or do I need to go to Kubi 100?
I have 90mm kubi and couldn't be happier. The bulk isn't that much nor does it get in the way. I could only see it being a problem if you're reaching into holes you shouldn't be anyways.

I also don't run wrist seals. My showa 660s are bullet proof. The only glove I've torn are the crap ones that come with the rings. I wear a medium or large work glove and the XL 660s are great for me. Wider fingers and palm without long flappy fingers.

The neo is awesome.. but the downside is I'll get a trickle every now and again. I don't really notice until I get out though. I'm too busy enjoying the warmth, lol
How tight of a cut is your hood around the neck? I had the same experience till I found a drysuit hood with a great neck fit, and now with three well-fitting plys of neo where it counts I don't get so much as a trickle, even when I'm craning around looking for wayward teammates.

I bought a H1 hood without a bib, it is tight but it doesn't reach down as far as I would like. Maybe the one with the short bib would be better.

Also, I haven't done a whole lot of leisurely diving since installing the neo. They've all been "working" dives searching for oysters. So straining, dragging a milk crate along the bottom, looking back and forth 180 degrees. I would get a little damp with the silicone seal doing the same stuff, I just get more with the neo.

I don't think it would leak at all if I wasn't moving all about. I'll be diving a leisure dive this weekend so we'll see.

Mine doesn’t leak except the time I forgot to roll it and even at that there was very little leakage. I’m not doing the stuff you are for sure and just leisurely cruising type of stuff.

Yes Sir, I think it would be fine if I wasn't moving all about.

It doesn't matter, it's only slightly damp and I don't notice until I'm out. My neck is super warm the whole dive though!

Excellent, thank you!

I use the Ansell gloves that came with the Kubi rings. Not the original pair anymore, of course. But, the exact some gloves are available from zoro.com for around $4 a pair.

I have only had to replace mine a couple of times. I.e. they last a year or two, for me.

But, I generally make a point of not touching anything when I'm in the water, except my camera or scooter. Generally. I'm not saying that I *never* touch anything.

The H1 (no bib) is a bit short going down the neck. I actually wore my Bare Ultrawarmth drysuit (no bib) hood last weekend specifically because I wanted more coverage down my neck. It is longer and gives more overlap of the neck seal - without having a bib, which I would hate.

I find the Bare to be at least as comfy as the H1. Honestly, the reason I usually wear my H1 is because my shop is a Waterproof dealer and we don't really sell Bare (though technically we are a Bare dealer). I try to wear what the shop sells - at least when it doesn't really make any difference to me/my dive.

I agree with Lex, the stuff you're doing doesn't sound like much fun. Hope you have a chill relaxing dive this weekend, sounds like you're due!

I must have a short wide neck. I need to remember when I share my experiences with people that I'm more hobbit shaped than others. Most hoods I've tried on are either a little too loose around the crown or too tight around the neck. I now use a "Waterproof H1 5/7mm without bib" but the couple inches of neo below the chin easily overlaps my neck seal at least an inch around the entire perimiter, even when I do a really healthy full length fold-down on the neo neck seal. The only trimming I needed to do was a little over the top of the mask opening to make it a tad easier to refit after removal.

Last year I had a little change and it was between a new hood or the neck, since the hood wasn't that old I opted for the neck! I wish I would have listened and gotten the short bib but maybe this year.

This one? 7mm?

Lol.. I've never been able to sell it but it is a pretty amazing time, bonus if you like oysters. We get back and party at the pier, captain always has fried oysters, crab soup, chickens wings. It's a party with some diving mixed in.. and you're done and on your way by ~ 1pm. It's a good day

I just like being under water, having a "mission" to go after and find something is fun. I wouldn't do it every day, but 4-6 times a season is about what I do.

I also like the fact that it's a good way to push the envelope (current, viz, etc) and find out how far you're willing to go and step outside of your comfort zone. I am a better diver for it (and it beats going to the same quarry every week just to get one in!).
