Did any of you apply for the 2024 Texas Parks and Wildlife Lionfish Invitational chartered on the MV Fling? Did the hunts occur as advertised by TPW? And how well did the hunts go?

It would help if I provided a link (see link below). I looked for the link for the 2024 charters but looks like the info for 2025 is already published! I applied for the 2024 charters but did not get selected nor did I get selected as a fill-in for any last-minute individual cancellations.

I did one lionfish hunt in December 2023 while diving in Cozumel and had so much fun. Dive was a few miles north of the island with Aldora Divers. The lionfish were numerous in that area, and they stayed deep around 100-130 foot depths. We speared seven lionfish, which the boat captain made into ceviche during the surface interval. Good eating!
