I really like page 4. So, I jumped forward looking for the page you posted and though I haven't read the whole manual yet, I plan to, but I'd like to see that part or know if you can indeed set it to see the actual percentage or at least a graphical indication as to the level of the battery in the transmitter. Was that page you posted from the Perdix manual? Page 77 on my google result looks different.

Though the color coded warning seems like plenty, I'm just curious.

Yes - you might even get a few more dives out of it. I’ve only seen a yellow warning once and replaced before the next dive. I usually just replace proactively before big trips - once a year or so regardless.

And to be clear, the reported battery issue regards only the computer, right? not the transmitters? And aren't we talking about a matter of using a coin to switch a single AA and recalibrating the compass?

It doesn't seem like much of an issue to me.

It is available during the dive, but you have to set the computer to show it. On the Perdix, it is under Advanced Configuration; see Battery Icon at the end of the picture:

It doesn't seem like much of an issue to me.

Perhaps you missed an earlier post. The only info sent by the transmitter is Good, Low, or Critical.

The Perdix manual explains that when the battery voltage drops to 2.75v the transmitter sends "LOW" and at 2.5v it sends "CRITICAL."
