Me and my wife are centered in NYC. We travel to dive sites every weekend and spend the weekend there. Our favorites so far are:
  • Burlington, VT - Lake Champlain
  • Fort Wetherill - Rhode Island
  • Lake Winnipesauke - New Hampshire
  • Round Valley Reservoir - New Jersey
  • Rockport, Massachusetts
Round Valley is our "go-to" when we don't want to travel too far or have other obligations. Vis is great (usually around 20 feet) but there is a distinct lack of facilities.

Lake Champlain from Burlington Vermont is easily our favorite. It's a 6.5 hour drive each direction but it is a fun drive. We stop along the way at farm, etc. The wrecks there are just STUNNING.

Rockport, Mass is our favorite for ocean dives. We typically go with Capt. Fran from Down Under Dive Ventures. There is also abundant shore diving.

Fort Wetherill is great for night diving. We see lots of cuttlefish at night typically.

Lake Winni is excellent. The dives there are similar to Lake Champlain, only colder and murkier. The town of Wolfesboro, however, is an EXCELLENT spot to spend a weekend.
