For Single tanks I love my Genesis Recon it has alot of D rings and I have used it with steel 72's, Alum 80's and steel 121's it's integrated weight system is perfect for whatever diving I want to do from shallow warm water in a shorty to deep cold diving in a FJ with stage/deco bottles.

The Kraken:
Dive Rite "Venture" wing for salt water and thin wet suit.
Dive Rite "Rec" wing for everything else.
the K

Why?

I thought these two wings had the same lift. I am an on the verge of buing one of these two for a BP/W setup. I can't figure out from the DR site exactly how they differ.

Venture is the single tank wing (30# lift) the Rec wing is a doubles wing (51# lift) Unless you're doing double tank diving get the Venture - it's a nice all around singles wing. Is your BP a DiveRite also? If you're still "shopping" you might consider the DSS singles rig as it's only $445 (includes everything and +$30 gets you their new taurus donut wing) and by all reports a very well thought out rig (I have not gotten one myself ... yet)

Aloha, Tim

My mistake. I confused the "rec" wing with the DR "travel" wing. How do the Venture and Travel differ, other than price? I assume the Travel must be a lighter weight material.

The Venture wing is physically bigger. It also has fitting for a BP/W setup. The Travel does not. Might be a different material as well, but the Travel wing is made from very durable material.

Then how do you attach the Travel to a BP?

Zeagle Ranger, for all the reasons already cited by others.
