You hope the radio announcer will say the surf sucks, so you can dive some of your favorite sites again. (North Shore Oahu is undivable in the winter =( )

Seriously, you need to get certified. If I can do it, I'm pretty sure anyone can. And here I am, getting ready to start me Rescue Diver class. If you were in Hawaii, I'd tell you to truck yourself out to LDS I work at, but since you're not. I'm betting there are dive shops in CA that can take care of that for you. My one year anniversary of my first dive is coming up. It's time for you to get into the water.

:rofl3::rofl3::rofl3:I have 4 to choose from within 10mi. the first 5 blocks away:D
three blocks farther than the beach:rofl3:
I'm just waiting for a check, know what I want, where to get it, just can't deal with the wait.
besides there's a DIVE-IN happinin next month and I don't wanna be the only one dry.

Seriously! You don't want to be the "shore buddy". That sucks. I'm hoping to dive at least one of the next 3 days, since I'm not working. And, seriously I haven't been in the water in like 3 weeks... I'm dying here.

I went to a Maya Lin art exhibit today. Very cool stuff. One piece was a room size wire model of the undersea topography around Bouvet Island, the most remote island in the world. So I'm standing underneath this wire model, looking up at the apex which represents the island and wondering if the diving is any good there.

OMG "shore buddy" there is a name for it? I would feel sooo ashamed if I hadn't figured out what a "snorkel" is.
A "chuckle" underwater:D

You are sitting on a bar deck in Northern Illinois and the water is dark brown/green and you ask your friends if they think anyone dives in that lake.

You get a little turned on when they tell you about their gear. :)
