Yoke to DIN Conversion - Any difference than just getting DIN in the first place?

I'm only diving on Kauai this trip.
 
And they do make DIN to Yoke adapters for HP (3500) tanks, but it puts the first stage at 90 degree angle to the valve and puts it very close to your head. I haven't dove one of these, but do use it to fill my HP 80's.

IIRC those adapters are only for filling only and should not be used for diving.

Well, you still have to remove the yoke to use the "adapter." I was talking about something like the spin-on DIN to yoke adapters that would allow someone with a yoke reg to use a DIN tank without taking apart their existing reg.

Correct, you have to remove a few parts. There is no such adapter that can be used directly like the DIN-to-Yoke.

Well, I guess we are all "vacation" divers. Whatever that might mean. If a "Europe"eon goes on vacation to Thailand can you tell if he is on vacation from his valve arrangement or does your analysis fail?
