Im about to purchase my first regulator and have found some really good reviews on this regulator....my question is what do you guys think of it, I have heard its comparable to the legend for a much lower price.

anyone have any opinions on this?
I bought one from a fellow SB member. So far it has been good, though I have dove it only a few times. My other two reference points have been Oceanic GT3 and AL Titan. Compared to these two I didn't find any difference in breathing ease/difficulty at my diving depth (around 50 ft).
My LDS is a XS Scuba tech, so I don't anticipate any servicing issue in future. According to him these regs last a long time if it is cared well. I think you will be happy with the purchase.

Is there an LDS in your area that can service this reg? If so, great, easy. If not then you will have to find someone who can service it and obtain the parts kits. If there is no one in your area then you will be shipping your reg off somewhere for service. There is nothing wrong with that, just could be an issue if you need some 'rush' turnaround time before a vacation etc. Also the $$ for shipping would have to be figured in to the service costs.

Just something to consider.

I bought two about two years ago from one of the companies here on the forums. I was teaching with one and diving with the other. My wife's reg was having problems and I gave her the one I was teaching with.

So far in two years absolutely no problems. They breathe easy and we can get them serviced in Cozumel. I would not hesitate to buy another set.

very glad to hear everyone likes it here to, looks like that is what im still going to go with!

To tell you the truth im not sure if anyone in my area services them or not I haven't seen them that I know of..shipping shouldn't be huge think luckely since im a regular ups shipper with some really good rates.

ordered my XS package from LP yesterday seems they are closed this week which stinks but im not diving this weekend anyway so not a big deal...Probaly gonna pick up a tank or 2 at divers direct in orlando since they are like 109 there. Also got a new dive bag....very excited!
